Specific equipment is devoted to advanced electrical characterization of the film and devices grown and fabricated at ACNM group.
We use a 4-point probe station for room temperature measurements. Direct tips are positioned on top of device electrodes, so no wiring is needed. IV characteristics can be obtained for testing electronic devices (bridges, tunnel junctions, …) either in current-limited or voltage-limited modes.

For advanced characterization at variable temperature and applied magnetic field, a special setup has been adapted for the Physical Properties Measurements System (PPMS) by Quantun Design, available at Low Temperatures and Magnetometry Scientific Service at ICMAB.
Special sample holders and electronic equipment have been optimized to measure dc/ac conductivity and IV curves with high compliance limits.
